Max turned 2 today.
In some ways I can’t believe he is two and in
other ways I don’t remember our family without him. He is becoming such a big boy and not just
in stature (as he is a little over 3ft
tall). He has started to talk more and
more, and loves to help around the house. He loves to be read to, especially Elmo (Sesame
Street) books. He likes to make animal
sounds and try to sing.
His favorite
song is Twinkle Twinkle little star. You
will hear him singing the melody and getting a few of the words. Max Loves puzzles and is really good at the
ones you place an object in the right spot.
We will sometimes have several out and he will do them all at the same
time. Max is still sleeping in his crib
but loves to climb in and out of it all by himself.
One of his favorite
shows to watch is Special Agent Oso. This year I made him an Oso bear cake.
It turned out so cute and when he came down in the morning and saw it he
was so excited.
It made staying up very late
worth it. First thing he wanted to do was touch it.
Max’s birthmom, Chelly came up to celebrate with us. We missed her family and hope they can come
next year. It was a cold rainy day but
we were able to get a few quick pictures of them together.
I don’t’ know what is up with Max and that tongue
of his. He wouldn’t keep it in him
mouth.
We were so happy that Rheid, Sherri, and Josh came to party
with us and that Grandma Margaret was able to get on Skype to watch all the
craziness. We opened presents
first.
It was so funny to watch Max open
them. He would rip off a little piece
and run over to the garbage can across the room and throw it away. Back and forth he went. Luckily Maggie started to help and we made it
through all of them. Way to many gifts
is all I have to say.
Chelly made him
the cutest little crochet monkey named Max.
She then gave him a book she made.
It had pictures of Max the monkey doing lots of fun things/adventures
and meeting friends (also animals she made).
He loved it and it is the cutest thing ever!!
After presents it was time to eat Oso, I mean cake. Ha ha ha!
We sang Happy birthday and had to relight the candle several times as
Max kept blowing it out as soon as it was lit.
We ended up singing several more times as who can resist a cute little
boy saying, “un mor ” (One more ). The
cake was “Oso” delicious.
We are so proud of our Oso Special boy Max and we feel so
blessed to have him in our family.
He brings such joy and happiness, not to mention craziness into our life and we wouldn't have it any other way (well maybe a little less of into everything!).
We love you Max!!
