Summer Fun

Wow has summer flown by. We just got back from a 11 day vacation trip to Utah and boy did we have fun! I think we need a vacation to recover from this one. We started off in Southern Utah at a family reunion on Mikes side. We went to a ranch called Rockin' R Ranch. It was tons of fun tubing down the river and horseback riding. Maggie eve got to ride her first real live horse. She wasn't to excited about it at first. She was crying to get off but then we put her cousin Landon up on it with her and boy did she turn right a round and loved it. It was fun to have her wear her favorite pink cowgirl boots there also.

Danny and Nicole went with us to Bryce Canyon on our way back to grandma's house. Boy was it beautiful. We didn't get to see much as the kids were ready for naps and with the long drive a head we wanted the naps to be in the cars. Maggie slept almost the whole way home. It was great!

We got to see most of Mike's family . Most of the grand kids went to a big blowup play ground with slides and things to crawl and jump on. We went to Lagoon with Mike's parents and his niece Emma. Maggie wasn't so sure about the rides but she did love the boat ride. I took her on the little kids roller coaster "puff the magic dragon". By the third time it went around she was as far behind me as she could get. When it stopped she said "I scared". I couldn't help but laugh as she was clawing her way behind me.

Next we went to my parents house. My sister Carolyn and her family came up and hung out We all went up to the reservoir went out on the boat. Maggie ate so much watermelon I thought she would turn into one. We swam in the lake and had fun untill it started to get windy and rainy. I got to go out fishing the next morning but it started to rain again so the family didn't get to go out on the boat again. Oh well, we had fun together anyway.

We ended our fun with a trip to Hoolge Zoo in Salt Lake City with my best friend Lisha and her family. Lisha's sister- in-law Rachel (who just happens to be one of my old room mates from College) came with her family also. It was great to see them and get up dated on life. We had fun spending time with all our family but as fun as it was we were very happy to get back to our own beds. What a great summer vacation.
