We went to Utah a few weeks ago to see family. It had been a while since some of them had seen Maggie so we hopped into the car an headed out for the long drive. Funny
We were so excited to see all this snow in Utah that we have heard about but the days before we got there it all melted but the small area on the north side of my parents house. Maggie loved it and kept trying to eat it, so I dug deep in to the pile and found some clean snow (i know gross- old dirty snow- but she was going to eat it anyway at least I found some clean stuff).
We got to see two of my nieces, Katie and Anna (Carolyn's girls), get baptized by their newly baptized father (Yes my brother in law Jeff joined the church- huge shock to all of us). It was very emotional to see him in the font baptizing the girls. It didn't sink in until the second one was baptized that it was real.
We also went to my great nephew Eli's blessing. Tabitha (Robert's daughter) had a little boy in January. Yes it is a Kilt he is wearing (Tabitha made it- amazing isn't it!), it is a family thing for Ian, her husband.
It was a fun time, and although the nights can be long when you share a room with a two and a half year old who talks(loudly) in her sleep, and the car ride takes forever, we love visiting our families!
