National Birthmom Day!
Today is a very special day for us. It is National Birthmom Day! We were so excited to wish Maggie's birthmom a special thank you. What do you give or send to a person who changed your life more than anyone ever has or could? For weeks I have been pondering this question. Nothing seems good enough, or was to superficial. The day came and nothing inspired me. So simple was the act of a video clip from Maggie telling her she loved her and happy birthmom day. I know it meant more than flowers and diamonds (ok maybe not diamonds -wink), but it still feels so inadequate to me. Maggie's birthmom, Kelsey, is the most amazing person I know. She unselfishly put Maggie's life before her own desires. She showed me what faith in God and love really are. There is nothing selfish nor unloving about her. Is a beautiful and remarkable person. She isn't perfect (none of us are) but to me she will always be the angel that gave me the greatest gift that no one else could give me, that of the title of Mother. Happy Birthmom/mother's Day Kelsey! We love you more than you will ever know! And to all the other birthmoms, mothers, and those hoping to be mothers, Happy mother's day!
