We had to pack every moment of our trip to Utah over memorial day full of fun things as we only had a week.
The first few days we were with Mike's family. Danny and Nicole just bought a new house, and they wanted us to come stay over night. We thought this would be awesome as Maggie just loves their boys (since they are the ones she see the most), and then Danny and Mike could stay up as late as they wanted playing Wii games and not have to worry about one of them driving home at all hours of the night. We had a great time and their house is beautiful, it made me miss Utah, and think about moving back. I picked out our new house right behind them (if only...). We went swimming and had a fun dinner night with some of the family and the kids had fun together.

Mike and I wanted to take Maggie up to one of our favorite places, Cascade springs. We invited everyone up and had a picnic in American Fork Canyon. The food was great and the kids had fun cooking hot dogs and marshmallows and exploring the picnic area.
Maggie had fun with Grandpa Les as he took her down in the woods and found snail shells and rocks to throw in the creek.

After lunch, almost everyone went up the mountain to take in the beautiful sites of the Wasatch front and Mt. Timpanogos.
Cascade Springs is almost to Heber so it took us about an hour of driving up in the mountains. I just love the mountains and it was a perfect day. Cascade Springs was burned in a wild fire a few years back but the water was still a beautiful as we remembered. I thought that the first of June it would be very green but thanks to a cold Spring, it wasn't full of flowers and greenery but it was still beautiful.
Fun to see the difference in the kids, some wanted to be first to everything and others (like Maggie) were just lolly gagging behind.
It felt so good to be up there. We just loved spending time with everyone there.
After a wonderful day in the mountains, we went to dinner with Les, Danny, and Nicole at Tucanos. Maggie thought it was so fun to eat with the tongs that you use to get the meat off the skewers that they bring around. It was so cute. She ate free and I tell you we got our money worth as she ate like 20-25 shrimp.
We had such a great time with Mike's family and we can't wait to have more fun in July!
