July 5th

We left grandma Peggy's and Headed to Heber to see my family.  My parents sing in the Swiss Choir and had a performance at 7am so we bi-passed the balloons this year and went to supported them.

They did a great job then Sherri Dew gave a great talk about thinking about what footprint do we leave behind (what is our legacy).  It was really good. Maggie slept almost through the whole thing on Mike's shoulder.  After we the talk, we headed for breakfast.  There is something about eating it out side on a sunny morning that just makes pancakes taste good.  Granted they weren't as good as Mike's (he is the King!)

That afternoon the rest of the family, Carolyn and family, Tabitha and Risa, came up for dinner and fun.  Tabitha did dutch oven chicken and pork with some yummy cobbler and apple crisp.    Kristianna and Maggie had fun playing together in the pool and on the swings.

That night we did sparklers and  fireworks.  I got some funny sparklers that were more like torches.  They took forever to start so we used the coals from the dutch oven to start them.

I'm glad I got the picture of Maggie as it turned out to be the only one in her cute 4th of July outfit.  Her shirt say: Future President of the United States.  Rheid and Sherri brought it back from Washington DC on their trip.  Maggie loves it.

Brittany snuggled in a blanket watching her boyfriend Levi light fireworks with Mike.  Levi left the next day for Afghanistan in the Army.  We keep him in our prayers.
