For play group we decided to go to the zoo before school got out and it got too hot. We had a very fun day and the kids had a blast. The animals were out and for the most part active.
The Girls thought it was so cool to watch the squirrels crawl all over the strollers eating left out Cheerios and fruit snack. This was something new for me. I had never seen it before at the zoo but obviously it's not new to the zoo.
After watching the squirles have a snack we realized it was time for lunch. We had an unexpected visitor come to see what we were having. Guess he wasn't up for BP&J or Meat sandwiches as he let out a few cries and headed off to find something more his type.
It's hard when there are three the same age, as one always feels left out if the others are together. The kids however, got a long so well, only having a few grumpy times at the end as all of them were hot and tired.
As a treat we took the girls on the merry-go-round. It was interesting as the brave ones weren't so brave unless they were being held tight. Maggie was so excited as she loved it last month and was the one that got the other girls going about going on it. However seeing their apprehension made her wonder if she shouldn't be scared of it and got her a little nervous before it started. They all survived and could say how brave they were for riding the wild beasts of the carousel.
The Zoo is so much fun, but even better with good friends.
