New Years Eve

This year we spent New Years Eve day getting family photo's with Mike family. Then we all got together that night and had a fun New Years Eve party. Everyone brought food and games. The men watched the Utah Jazz game and the show Three Amigos. The women visited and played games.

The kids...Well they played in the basement. We would check on them every so offten or when cries were heard. They had hours of fun and didn't get into too much trouble, just had fun together.
The kids got to play a candy bar game that once again Nicole set up. They had to roll doubles or a 7 or 11 combo and they could pick a candy. So the kids were good and sugared up by the end. This is what happens when 14 kids 12 and under, all high on sugar, are left to their own for a few hours of play time (and this was only one side of the basement). After the game and movie all the adults played a game were we all put names of people into a bowl then we did like charades where you describe the person to get people to say the name. Then we put them all back into the bowl and we could only use one word and actions. Then they went all back in again and we could only use actions. It was pretty funny!

We found some left over fireworks from the 4th of July and set them off. We took our last picture for 2009
When midnight came around I was surprised that only the babies were asleep. We watched the ball drop in time square and drank sparkling cider giving each other hugs and wishes for the New Year. It was a fun night! We wish you all a very Happy New Years and may yours and our 2010 be full of Happiness, Hope, and Peace.
